Volunteer Opportunities

Gomde runs on volunteer power. With the exception of the land manager, the caretaker, and a handful of seminar staff, everyone working at Gomde is a volunteer. There are plenty of ways to offer your time, skills or labor to support Gomde’s mission. You don’t even need to live within driving distance, as many tasks involve off-site work.

If you’d like to help with a specific task or in a particular program area, please contact the appropriate manager (see list below). Top priorities for 2011 are highlighted here. Extensive volunteer work may qualify for staff seminar fees.

General questions? Like to volunteer, but not sure exactly how? Email information@gomdeusa.org.

Finance and Administration
Manager: Joanne Brion, finance@gomdeusa.org

1. We need a volunteer to work on the computer system and manage both hardware and software, including upgrades, Internet connections and services, backups, virus control, etc. This job only requires physical presence at Gomde once a month or less.

2. We also need a volunteer to maintain and organize administrative files in the office, and to help create a more streamlined system of file boxes for long-term storage.

Ratna Shop
Manager: Jeri Petersen, ratnashop@gomdeusa.org

Ratna Shop is looking for a volunteer to edit and reproduce video recording of seminars. Currently we have a duplication machine and Bravo II printer. Work could be done on or off-site. Position is eligible for staff seminar rates.
