Personal Retreats

Gomde offers a serene and powerful environment for individual retreats. Retreat accommodations are available when programs are not in session. Retreats can range from a weekend to a month. The blessings of the lineage and the auspiciousness of the land combine to create an extraordinary experience. Some retreatants mingle practice sessions with time spent appreciating Gomde's unique natural environment. Walking trails crisscross 250 secluded acres of woods and meadows and meander along the banks of the rushing Eel River. Others choose to do an exclusively indoor retreat. Cooking facilities are available in both retreat houses, and groceries can be delivered by arrangement.

Accommodations

Private retreat accommodations at Gomde include:

River House -- three bedrooms and a back deck overlooking the Eel River.

Middle House -- three bedrooms, located midway between Sangha House and the river.

Both houses have fully equipped kitchens and bath. Please bring your own bed linens and towels. Mattresses, blankets, and pillows are provided.

You can make arrangements with the manager and caretaker for your food shopping needs. Retreatants are welcome to join staff in the Sangha House Shrine Room for morning and evening practices, as well as any special ritual or feast offerings. The Shrine Room is also available for individual practice sessions.

Please check in with the manager or caretaker at the Sangha House on arrival. Retreatants must sign a liability waiver and are advised to complete a health information form.

Pricing for Individual Retreats

Winter rates have been adjusted to cover increased heating costs.

CTF members receive a 15% discount.

Winter Rates (December 1 - March 30)

Payment is due upon arrival. Reservations for a week or more require a 25% deposit. For cancellations more than a week before the reservation date, the deposit is returned, less a $25 administrative fee. For cancellations less than a week before the reservation date, the deposit is forfeit.
