Volunteer Opportunities

There are plenty of ways to volunteer your time, skills or labor at Gomde. If you'd like to help with a specific task or in a particular program area, please contact the appropriate manager. Top priorities for 2010 are listed below. For general questions, email information@gomdeusa.org. Extensive volunteer work may be eligible for staff seminar fees.

Finance and Administration

1. Increase ongoing monthly support for Gomde operations and maintenance.

2. Identify new activities at Gomde throughout the year to increase practice on the land and use of Gomde year-round.

Volunteer opportunities exist in the finance and administration area; please contact Joanne Brion (above) to enquire.  Some must be done on-site; others can be done remotely.

Ratna Shop

Ratna Shop is looking for a volunteer to edit and reproduce video recording of seminars. Currently we have a duplication machine and Bravo II printer. Work could be done on or off-site. Position is eligible for staff seminar rates.

1. Help with upgrading the website -- uploading content from existing site via WordPress CMS (easy to use).

2. Develop photo-sharing site for Gomde photos (Flickr?)

3. Coordinate teaching videos for the website. Explore setting up a podcast service.

4. Maintain Gomde's Facebook page.

I am always looking for volunteers with strong graphic design, web design or writing skills. Contact me if you could help with laying out the quarterly email newsletter, maintaining Gomde's Facebook page, or uploading content via Wordpress CMS to our new web page.
